Dear NABC Attendee:

Welcome to Banga Sammelan! We would like you to have a memorable experience at NABC 2016 and enjoy your stay in New York City.

Below is some useful information provided by the Hospitality Team.

Airport Transfer: -

New York City is served by three major airports: John F. Kennedy (JFK), LaGuardia (LGA) and Newark Liberty (EWR). Upon arriving at any of these airports (any terminal), please proceed to Ground Transportation for detailed information about any of the modes of transportation listed below.

  • Taxi : From JFK, the flat-rate fare to Manhattan is $52. Metered taxis are available at LGA and the fare would be in the $34-$39 range. The fare from EWR to the hotels adjacent to the Madison Square Garden (MSG) would be around $60. These prices do not include tolls, baggage fee and gratuity.
  • Shuttles : Reservations for shared-ride van and private-car services can be made at the Port Authority Welcome Center located on the Arrivals level of each terminal. Check out the link http://www.panynj.gov/airports/jfk-taxi-car-van-service.html - for the names, numbers and URLs of such services authorized by the Port Authority of NY/NJ. It may be advisable to book your shuttle service in advance for peace of mind. The rate for shared ride shuttle to the New York Penn Station (which abuts MSG and is adjacent to the conference hotels) is between $18 and $20 per person with two pieces of luggage.
  • Public Transport : It is possible from the JFK airport to take Airtrain to Jamaica station of the Long Island Rail Road (LIRR), go to the adjacent Sutphin Blvd/Archer Ave/JFK subway stop and catch the “E” train to the Penn Station/MSG subway stop. You will need to buy a MetroCard to access the tracks. The subway fare is $2.75 per ride.
Parking : -

For those driving into the city on their personal or rented cars, the following garages would offer parking for our NABC attendees. The fee is $45 per day (24-hour period) including taxes, which is$21.00 off the regular price. There is no in and out during the day. Print the parking coupon (http://nabc2016.com/carparkinginhotels.html) and bring it with you for parking.

Hotel Check-in and Stay: -

Affinia Hotel, New Yorker Hotel, Fairfield Inn, & Pennsylvania Hotel :

1) Guest must present a valid Identification w/ picture at check-in. (Driver’s License / Passport) Please keep your photo ID and a credit card handy during check-in.
2) Guest must present a valid credit card for incidental deposit. The name on the charge card must matches with the picture ID.
3) Cash Deposit (in lieu of credit card): Minimum $ 250 or $50/day cash deposit. (Whichever is greater). For Hotel Pennsylvania – Attendees will need $100/day deposit. 
4) Always keep your room access card in your possession.
5) Ask for the hotel business card from the reception desk during check-in and keep it with you; this will help you get the direction to come back to the hotel in case you are lost.
6) Always keep your valuables in your possession or in a secure storage area identified by the hotel.
7) Never keep your luggage unattended.
8) If you are travelling with children, please make sure not to leave them unattended. NY city is one of the busiest travel destinations in the world.

All hotels are Non-Smoking and are committed to providing their guest and associate a smoke free environment. Smoking is not permitted in any guest room, meeting room, or public space anywhere in the hotel. A guest in violation of that policy will be assessed a $250 cleaning fee. The guests are also responsible for missing items, any damages to the rooms or anything billed to the rooms.

Wired Internet / Wi-Fi is FREE in every hotel.

Registration desk will open at 10 AM on July 1st at Penn Pavilion, Hotel Pennsylvania, 401, 7th Ave and 33rd Street. Pl pick up your bag and badges.

The hours of operation  are as follows (subject to change):
Friday, July 1 - From 10 AM to 8 PM
Saturday, July 2 - From 11 AM to 8 PM
Sunday, July 3 - From 3 PM to 7 PM
There will be separate Booths for Standard Registration, Donors and Sponsors.
Walk-in Registration will be by Cash Only.

Friday/ Saturday/ SundayBreakfast : - All Conference hotels have restaurants and eateries for breakfast as well as for meals later in the day. The Penn Station in its lower level has many fast food joints ranging from Au Bon Pain to Starbucks and Subway.

Food may be purchased from food trucks. Food trucks will be located near the intersection of 31st street and 7th avenue; 33rd street and 8th avenue. Please note that the locations may change as per demand and availability of a point of interest.

Program Schedule :-

The opening ceremony at NABC 2016 is scheduled on Friday 1st July 2016 at 6:00pm.
The Super Star program that is scheduled on Sunday 3rd July 2016 will end at 11pm.
Madison Square Garden is the venue for both the events.
Please arrange your travel plans accordingly.
The detailed program schedule will be published at a later date.
